The mount came with clear instructions and it was very easy to install. I have to mounted to the dash of my 2015 RAV4, which has a slightly slanted top. There is no wiggling around even going over large bumps in the road. I was able to find a flat spot on my very curvy Toyota Matrix to mount it.
I waited 2 days to use with my phone after adhering the base to my car.
I switched the plate (yes re-used the same one, don't waste it!) to the back of my case and have had no issues since, the hold is incredibly strong!

When I received the item the sticker that is on the base that held mount to dash was creased but I tried it anyway. Make sure you prep properly and allow the mount to set up (DONT RUSH IT) Do not use on a heavy textured surface or you might be disappointed. My first attempt did not stick after following the instructions and I placed the replacement sticker over the old one (do not do this, remove the old one) and I had issues since I was double sticking it. The last sticky base I placed on it held but not where I wanted it to. I think in my case I got a bad set of stickers. the magnet is awesome and the thin steel plate that you stick to your phone or case weighs nothing and attaches to the magnet easily and leaves no mess on your phone. Long story short customer service came through and I am happy. It is a great magnet and doesn't take up much room at all. I recommend holding your phone where you want to mount it to see if you will block any vents, radio or climate knobs before mounting. Don't rush the instructions!!

I have only be using my GETIHU phone mount for less than a week but so far I really like it. I have experienced an issue with the adhesive on the metal plate that I attached to the outside of my phone case (that connects to the mount's magnet). The adhesive doesn't seem to be strong enough. After having my phone mounted for approximately an hour in my car while being a rideshare driver, the adhesive starts to soften & the metal disk comes off my phone. I tried both disks, but got the same result. Maybe it's because I live in Wisconsin & we're having a cold winter so my car's heater is running non-stop, softening the adhesive. Either way, I ended up having to super glue the metal disk to the outside of my phone's case. It has worked great ever since then. I don't mind having the disk super glued to my phone case since I feel that phone cases are a dime a dozen & can be easily/inexpensively replaced.

Update: Still highly recommended, however I did have to purchase new sticky dots you attach to our vehicles. All of the ones provided, wore out after a few weeks each. I spent hours looking at various car mounts and chargers. I bought and returned one the same day. I was a bit sceptical when I received this mount, because I was concerned my Galaxy S7 edge would be to heavy for the ball hinge. I was also concerned that the tape wouldn't stick to the front of my dash, rather than the top. So many reviews leave you wondering, but this product has been great so far. I did apply the holder to the front of my dash and it holds true, as does the ball hinge, even with my $7.
If they can get this addressed, back to 5 stars.

I really wanted to like this mount. After following the directions exactly, the mount seemed to be working great for the first few days. Then, the tape that was supplied came loose from the mount, and not the dash. I cleaned it off and applied the 2nd tape supplied and same thing happened in a few days. Bottom line, the tape just is not very good. Overall, the magnet and swivel work fine. The tape supplied is not adequate. I have since hot glued the mount to the dash and it seems to be holding. I recommend the manufacturer of this product get better tape.. Why do you think they provide 3 sets of the extra adhesive?

I was disappointed with the product because it failed to hold my phone up. I waited 3 weeks to write this review to make sure my first impression was right. Upon arrival the sticky that was attached to the unit had a crease in it and I followed all the instructor application instructions. Like I suspected the unit began to peel off within a week. I maybe it was just because of the crease so I cleaned and reapply the extra sticky they provided. The same outcome occurred a week after that. The sticky that sticks to the unit and the dash is very sticky but the foam in the middle is the weak link allowing it to rip off the dash.
